To carry out the decontamination process, high-power LEDs are used that emit ultraviolet radiation (UVC) at a wavelength of 275nm. This wave range is 40% more efficient compared to germicidal UV tubes (254nm), in eliminating viruses, bacteria and fungi. The advantage of using LED technology lies in its robustness and long LED life, which emits its radiation in a focused way with minimal scattering.
The wavelength used is in the band of maximum absorption of DNA for these organisms and also does not produce ozone, so it is not necessary to ventilate the room after use.
